It was a fantastic first day in D.C. What a smooth and quiet bus ride we had to Milwaukee! The students were wonderful and respectful :) Our flight was exciting, especially for the first time fliers, but we all made it! the stewardesses complimented our students on their respectful behavior. That was great to hear!=====
We visited the capitol today, along with the WWII memorial, the Viet Nam Veteran's Memorial, and the Korean War Memorial. The kids were really energetic, despite their lack of sleep and enjoyed the day. We also visited the Lincoln Memorial, the FDR Memorial, the 9/11 Pentagon Memorial, and did a drive by illuminated tour of the Air Force Memorial and the Jefferson Memorial. Lunch was at the Capitol and we ate dinner at the Pentagon Mall with the Brewsters!
